PETE&C conference

In my point of view our class ''Invisible City'' is about overlooking things that people pass by every day. I learned a lot from being in this class and it gave me a new lens to see things in different ways. I also liked this class because it also gives me a chance to show people how I see things with my photography.
Pictures I personally took were mostly landscape pictures, like pictures of my school and pictures of my community. The music we created was more up to date hip hop type instrumentals. The process of making the music was simple; we used this program called FL studio and put together sounds to make the music we produced.
We took all the projects our class made and we took it to Hershey, Pennsylvania to the PETE&C conference. There we displayed all the things we did in our class for people there to observe. I thought the conference was helpful because people there gave us feedback on what they thought about our work. I would be interested in going again, and if I could go again next year a project I would like to work on more of our music and maybe do some movies.

International visitors come to S.O.F.T

Today was a very exciting day for the School of the future. Why because we actually had people. From different countries visit our school for the first time. I myself was alittle nevus because I wasn't sure. About what to say and what not to say. As i got to kno them alittle better then i became comfortable. These mutilingual educators expressed things about their countries in a well thought out way. If i could visit their country for about a week. That would be very interesting just to be in a total different envoirnment sounds like fun.

The World Comes to School of the Future
About this category: Education

Today on the 5th day of February 5 people from 4 different countries came to visit us here at the School of the Future. It was 4 male teachers and 1 female. They were all English teachers. This was the 1st time for some of them to ever come to the US. They are here for until June. For the next six weeks they will be at the School of the Future observing the learners as well as the educators. They all speak at least two languages some even four. Therefore they will be helping the learners learn their new languages.

They came today, talked one on one with about 11 learners and had a tour of the new school. They spent some time in some of the classes and got to see how some of the learners act. They got to see how our school differs in many ways. They got to go to the gym and they enjoyed there selves. They played basket ball and did some pull ups. They really had fun. They had lunch with 11 learners and left at about 12:30.

Panorama
About this event: 2006 United Nations Conference on Human Rights Migration and Development

This article was about migration in terms of labor. I say this because in the article it says ''many middle-age people have migrated for economic reasons and not persecution. This may be referred to as labour migration resulting from widespread unemployment in the country. It is also not true that many Ugandans seek refuge due to completely unbearable life here at home. Many of these people are not fleeing starvation and a lack of shelter but are on a search for high life on the streets of London. Surely no one can leave Uganda unless they can pay US $ 1000 for the flight to Gatwick or risk a two month trip on a cargo ship''. So i place this article in the categorys of involuntary and labor, I think its some what involuntary because they dont want to leave there home land there being forced to and its labor becase they need jobs because there economic problem

What do I think?
About this event: 2006 United Nations Conference on Human Rights Migration and Development

The article I read was about children be sold by their own parents into slavery for little as $180. The reason they do this is because of proverty. They are so poor (they live in ghana) that they sale their own children. This needs to be put to a stop. Many people are against it and I am to. Why does the government allow this happen? Most of the children being sold are btween the ages of 3-14 and they are mostly boys. I think this is ridiculous, but how can we change this?

Chidren from southwest Ghana are sold by there parents into slavery. Parents usually sell there children because they are poor. They sell there children from 100$ to 5$ (in extreme cases). Most of these chidren die. This is Truly sad.

1. Why dont the parents have dicent jobs?
2. Why dont they put there chidren in a orphanage?

1. Identify your community location. ( streets, shops , houses, structure of house, who/how many people live there, how many rooms does your home have, do you share your room with a sibling etc). How do they this impacted your life and identity? Well there is an landrymat right across the street from me and there are similar houses like mine on the left and in the back of my house. My house has a done basement and i my house has four bedrooms and one bathroom. The people who live in our hoome is me my two sisters, my mom and my stepdad. Nobody in my house shares a room except my mom and my stepdad. My house impacted my life and identity because this house is the best one i had may not be the best nieghborhood but its my best house.
2. Identify five houses to your left, right, and in front of you. Find their architectural patterns, history and trace how many generations of the same family lived there? Since I have an corner house i only have houses on the left of me and they are all similar to my houses but there like different colors.

10. Would you want to continue living in your community even after reaching your goal of success in life? What would the driving force behind your decision be? I would move out and If you moved out , what would be the motive behind your decision? Do you feel any sense of responsibility towards your community?
